I wish somebody would address the issues of management bullying and harrasement at Bolton North, two employment tribunals cases about to go `live` in the next six months for basically the lack of management following the Equality Act should have flagged up a serious concern that something ain't right at this office in either CWU or Royal Mails headquaters...still I suppose it will take a suicide again for something to be done.
We have procedures for dealing with complaints plus contact numbers which are on the poster. If you send yout memebrship details plus info about your allegations I'll get back to you.
Both these cases are going to ETs because the CWU advised the members that management were discriminating against disabled employees by not making reasonable adjustments. The emphasis was on discrimination, some reasonable adjustments have been made.
Once the Branch was aware of the problems, the Area Rep was involved with the appeals and a 2 tribunal panellists have looked at the cases following requests from the Branch to Tony Rupa Legal Services Officer CWU.
As the tribunal cases are ongoing I cannot go into more detail, suffice to say I have spoken to the local rep today and will be looking into the matter further. Ted Stead Branch Secretary North West No1 & DAC Member
