Save Mount Pleasant nursery!

One of my responsibilities when i was member of the Postal Executive was to deal with the Union's family friendly policies. That included working with Mount Pleasant branch officials to secure the provision of a workplace nursery.
Not only are the ConDems diluting our hard won employment rights but it now appears that Royal Mail are following their lead by closing Mount Pleasant nursery. This will be a disaster for members who rely on this service to enable them to work. It is an absolute disgrace and must be stopped.

  1. Keep up the fight Linda Save the Mount's Nursery. It is hard enough at present to find good child care at affordable prices whilst trying to work to feed your family, pay the bills and just live under this ConDem nighmare. Sign the petition to keep the Mounts Nursery open helping working families meet their childcare needs as well working to survive. I know how hard to find and expensive childcare is being a father, yet another u turn by Royal Mail & Government at the expense of our members'. Never mind the 1p fuel cut will help when driving across London for nursery care and back to work in time for your shift.

  2. Royal Mail and its friends in Government prove yet again that they know the cost of everything and the value of nothing.

“Keep fighting Linda. Another dig at the workers, the actual people who do the work and bring in the profits.”
